I loved using these for a soft day look to a classic smokey eye. Blending is key when it comes to makeup and having the right tools to get the best results is just as important as the products themselves.
(ALL PHOTOS MY OWN)
E32 – Exact Blend
This brush is the smallest in the kit and has a dome paddle shape to it. I found the E32 definitely helps to blend out colour in tight areas such as the edge of the lid, along the lower lash line or fading colour from the lid into the crease.
There is just the right amount of pressure needed for effortless results.
E37 – All Over Blend
The bristles on the E37 are a little longer, much more tightly packed and softer. It is perfect for blending out colour in larger areas on the eye and ideal for applying a light layer of colour too. As there is a fair amount of pressure from this brush I'd recommend using it with a light hand so as not to lower the impact of colour.
E38 – Diffused Crease
These hairs are even longer and definitely alot more softer when used. It can blend out harsh lines on even larger areas and great to use if you're looking for a wash of colour on the eye.
I also found that this brush is great for building up colour around the crease and lid area.
E39 – Buff and Blend
The E39 is probably the most similar to a typical blending brush. Its soft hairs are packed in well and can fade out colour in a matter of seconds with little effort. Its always a good idea to have one of these lying around!
E48 – Pointed Crease
I was really surprised to see a brush like this in a blending set but, after using it a good few times, I see its purpose. The E48 applies a soft amount of colour to specific areas without adding too much of an impact. A light hand is also needed with this tool and I would recommend shaking the brush before applying product to avoid any fall out.
I also really like how this has such a tight point that softly blends out colour in really small areas.
E71 – Highlight Diffuser
It's always a good idea to have a blending brush with this sort of shape. It becomes a multipurpose tool with its slanted bristles. The tip nicely blends out colour in really tight areas whereas the flatter side applys highlight well underneath the brows.
It is also perfect for fading colour from the crease into the highlight.
