To start I applied Urban Decay's Primer Potion from lid to brow and then added MAC's eyeshadow in 'Mylar' to the brow bone.
To help the colours become more gradient I applied MAC's 'Cork' eyeshadow to the outer part of the crease with a small fluffy brush and blended it well into 'Mylar'.
For my 'wing' I used a very fine eyeshadow brush and some matte black eyeshadow, This type of brush is normally used to apply shadow along the lower lash line and for other finer detail. The good thing about starting off with eyeshadow is it can easily be corrected with a cottonbud.
I then applied MAC's eyeshadow in 'Sketch' to the middle part of the lid and blended well into the black. I also blended the black slightly more into the crease to give more of a smokey effect.
Nars eyeshadow in 'Strada' was then applied to the outer part of the lid blending well into 'Sketch'. Matte black shadow was also used along the outer lower lash line and joined up with the wing.
To brighten up the eye I applied Laura Mercier's 'Golden Creme' shadow to the tear duct. For a more smouldering effect and to intensify the purple I added 'Strada' to the rest of the lower lash line and smudged into the outer black shadow.
Bobbi Brown's gel black eyeliner was then used to define the wing. This can be an optional step depending on your preference. I then added a small amount of black eyeshadow on top to help fade the defined wing into the purple.
Gel black eyeliner was also used across the rest of the upper lash line using a fine synthetic liner brush.
To finish I added one coat of black mascara to the upper and lower lash line and defined the brows.
