Here for review I have the Sigma Spot On Concealer kit which is part of the new Advanced Artistry Collection. I love how each of their unique sets contain 'must have' brushes with a specific purpose. These brushes create such a professional makeup finish which doesn't surprise me when it comes to Sigma.
This particular set of six brushes are for use with concealers and come in various shapes and sizes. Each one has a purpose for different areas of the face from covering small blemishes to dark under eye circles. I like how these brushes are unlike the standard synthetic brushes that usually come with brush sets and how they work so well with cream and liquid based product.
(ALL PHOTOS MY OWN)
F63 - Airbrush Blender
These tightly packed bristles are designed to create an airbrushed finish to the skin. The tip is rounded so it can add a small to medium amount of product at a time and the length of the hairs help blend out any colour perfectly. I like to use this for most areas of the face due to its universal size.
F64 - Soft Blend Concealer
This brush is the largest in the entire collection and is ideal for covering more skin which needs concealing. It has a similar shape to a blending brush and could be best described as a larger version of the previous F63. The F64 is also great for setting any concealer with powder and can also be used for contouring or highlighting any specific areas such as tightly under the cheek bones or down the sides of the nose.
F66 - Angled Buff Concealer
Having a brush with angled bristles is great for getting into smaller areas of the face such as around the inner eye or nose. It's slanted tip is also perfect for applying a small amount of product where as the flatter angled side covers more area making it very multipurpose. The hairs are also quite soft applying a light amount of coverage which in turn means less product is needed to get a good result.
F68 - Pin-Point Concealer
This brush is the smallest in the kit and perfect for adding product to tiny areas on the face. The hairs are very sturdy which is great for dabbing concealer onto little blemishes. The F68 is also brilliant at adding a darker or lighter concealer for contouring or highlighting small areas of the face for example above the brow bone or along the very inner part of the eye.
F69 - Angled Pixel Concealer
The F69 has longer and slightly more narrow bristles than the previous F66. It's great for adding alot more coverage to medium sized blemishes and it's synthetic hairs hold product very well. This works best in patting motions for a more natural finish.
F71 - Detail Concealer
Finally I have the F71 which has the longest and most narrow of bristles in the set. It adds a lighter touch of product than the rest due to its flexible bristles so if you find a blemish that just needs a small amount of concealer then this brush is ideal. Its light handed touch makes it also great for blended out small areas of product.
